TAMPA, Fla. — Firefighters responded to calls of a fire growing on a giant tiki hut attached to a restaurant on Saturday night.
The Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said they could see the giant blaze from the Veterans Expressway while heading towards the Mamajuana Cafe just before 11 p.m.
The crew was able to suppress the fire in 25 minutes and occupants were able to evacuate the area safely. No one was injured.
Pictures and videos from fire rescue show the giant tiki hut destroyed, but the restaurant doesn't appear to have any damage.
Fire rescue is investigating the cause.
