Firefighters rescue 3 dogs from Tampa house fire

Firefighters responded to a house fire where they found three dogs trapped inside.

TAMPA, Fla. — Firefighters rescued three dogs trapped in a Tampa house after a fire broke out.

Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a fire just before 9:30 p.m. Friday on East 108th Avenue in North Tampa. When they got there, the house had heavy smoke inside, according to a news release.

Firefighters entered the house where they found multiple electric scooters scattered throughout the residence, which caused the fire. They also rescued three dogs that were uninjured. Video from Tampa Fire Rescue shows a firefighter carrying out one of the dogs, who seemed relatively unphased.

Firefighters moved the scooters to the front lawn where one sparked and caught on fire, but firefighters put it out quickly. The fire was extinguished in 10 minutes, according to the release.

Officials said no other individuals were inside the residence and no one was injured.
