TAMPA, Fla. — A fight escalated into a shooting early Friday morning at a Ybor laundromat, leaving a man hospitalized, the Tampa Police Department said in a news release.
The incident reportedly occurred around 2 a.m. at the laundromat on North 34th Street in Tampa. Investigators say a fight between two men turned into a shooting, leaving one of them injured.
The victim reportedly suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital in stable condition. At this time, police told 10 Tampa Bay they are investigating whether or not the shooter acted in self-defense, and the investigation is ongoing.
