HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are searching for a driver they say caused a dump truck and two tractor-trailers to crash in a road rage incident Thursday morning.
It happened just before 10 a.m. on southbound Interstate 75, just north of State Road 56 in Hillsborough County.
Troopers say a driver in a green Toyota sedan intentionally cut off a dump truck heading southbound on I-75. It caused the dump truck driver to lose control of and spin into the path of two other southbound tractor-trailers, according to FHP.
No one was injured when all three trucks crashed, troopers said.
Portions of I-75 were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
FHP is now searching for the driver of the green sedan. Anyone with information on the car or the driver is asked to call *FHP or **TIPS.
