HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A man was killed after he was hit by a car when he was walking across a highway in Hillsborough County.
A 23-year-old Land O' Lakes woman was driving her Hyundai Elantra northbound on US-41 when she hit a 28-year-old Michigan man who was walking across the highway just after 1 a.m. on Thursday, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers.
The man suffered fatal injuries at the scene and the driver was transported to a hospital with minor non-life-threatening injuries.
