PLANT CITY, Fla. — A man died after he was ejected from his SUV during a crash Saturday morning, Florida troopers said.
It happened around 7 a.m. on southbound Paul Buchman Highway near Bruton Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the 53-year-old driving a Ford SUV somehow lost control of his vehicle and drove onto the shoulder. It then overturned and came to a rest near the adjacent railroad tracks.
The man, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the SUV, troopers said. He died at the scene of the crash.
FHP did not identify the man in its statement.
