TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa police have joined a family in the search for their mother, who they say has been missing since Friday evening.
Miriam Nordlinger, 72, was last seen walking away from her house near Bayshore Gardens and the Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club, according to a Facebook post by her daughter. The post also said Nordlinger left her wallet, keys and phone, and she left while her husband was asleep.
Her post has been widely shared on Facebook since she made it public. In the comments, one neighbor reported seeing Nordlinger on camera wearing an all black track suit, but said she left their street at around 11 p.m.
The Tampa Police Department subsequently posted on their own Facebook page asking residents to keep an eye out for Nordlinger and to contact them if they see her. Police said she is 5'7", 127 pounds, has short brown hair with blonde highlights and has brown eyes. She may be wearing her glasses.
Police ask anyone who sees Nordlinger to call (813) 231-6130 to help reunite her with her family.
