TAMPA, Fla. — A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car Wednesday afternoon in Tampa.
Tampa police responded to the crash just after noon at the intersection of South Carter and West Julia streets and found an adult woman who had fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead on the scene, according to a news release.
West Julia Street is closed between South MacDill Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard as police investigate what led to the crash.
No other information was immediately provided.
