HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A crash left a 44-year-old Sun City man dead and a 42-year-old woman seriously injured Tuesday night on I-75 in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The car, driven by the woman, was traveling southbound near Mile Marker 246 when she lost control, FHP said in a news release. The car reportedly veered off the roadway, colliding with a guardrail before coming to a rest in the inside travel lane.
The man died from his injuries, FHP said. The woman survived but suffered serious injuries in the crash. Patrol said both of them were not wearing their seatbelts when the crash occurred.
