TAMPA, Fla. — A man died in a crash overnight Thursday on the Courtney Campbell Causeway, according to police.
Officers responded around 3:14 a.m. to the causeway where they found a rolled-over Ford Explorer SUV, the Tampa Police Department said. A man was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
It's not yet known what led up to the crash.
The State Road 60 ramp from the eastbound lanes of the causeway was shut down for several hours but has since reopened to traffic.
