TAMPA, Fla. — A man was killed after being shot during a reported burglary, police said.
Tampa police responded to a residence at 4:19 a.m. Saturday on South Bermuda Boulevard in Tampa. When they arrived they found a man in his early 40s suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead.
Police said a man broke into the house through the window and the owner shot him after a confrontation. He remained on scene and is cooperating with investigations, according to police
There is no threat to the public.
