TAMPA, Fla. — Video shows a boat fire happening Saturday afternoon near popular Beer Can Island hangout spot.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue received calls about the fire at 12:39 p.m. and located the 35-foot cabin cruiser boat, according to a news release.
Fire rescue and the U.S. Coast Guard helped put out the fire. Video shows heavy clouds of black smoke coming from the boat as crews spray water on it to try to extinguish the flames.
Officials said there were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
