TAMPA, Fla. — A Tampa man is dead after he was hit by a van driver in Tampa, Florida Highway Patrol said.
It happened around 8:20 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Nebraska and Fletcher avenues. Troopers said a 45-year-old Lutz man was driving a Ford E250 van northbound on Nebraska Avenue.
At the intersection of Fletcher Avenue, a 46-year-old Tampa man riding a bicycle "disregarded traffic signals" and rode into the path of the van. He was hit by the driver and died at the crash scene.
