TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Fire Rescue crews rescued two cats from a house fire Sunday afternoon in Tampa Heights.
The rescue happened around 1:15 p.m. on North Morgan Street, Fire Rescue said in a news release. Firefighters arrived to find a single-story and two-story home on fire.
Investigators reportedly determined a shed behind the single-story home had caught on fire before spreading to both structures. The fires were extinguished in less than 15 minutes, according to crews.
The cats were rescued from the two-story home, Fire Rescue said. No other injuries were reported and no one was found inside either home.
At this time, the cause of the fire is under investigation, according to crews.
