SEBRING, Fla. — The search for a missing boater on Lake Jackson continued Sunday morning in Sebring.
According to the Sebring Police Department (SPD), the boater was reported missing just before 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Multiple agencies were on the scene continuing the search Sunday morning, including SPD, Sebring Fire Department, Frostproof Fire Department, Highlands County Sheriff's Office and Polk County Sheriff's Office.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is leading the investigation.
The Veterans Beach Boat Ramp and Veterans Beach Memorial Park are closed while crews search.
Officials are asking the public to avoid Lake Jackson and the surrounding area.
