LAKE PLACID, Fla. — A tornado has touched down in a Highlands County mobile home park as Hurricane Milton approaches Florida's coast Wednesday.
Highlands County deputies tell 10 Tampa Bay this happened at the Tropical Harbor Estates Mobile Home Park in Lake Placid, with heavy damage reported near Belle Tower Avenue.
Sheriff's office officials are on the ground as people are reportedly outside their mobile homes. No injuries have been reported so far.
Deputies also said power lines are down, but said they are still energized and they are currently trying to cut off the power.
HCSO is still searching through debris to make sure nobody is injured.
