Purple Alert issued for 38-year-old Hernando County man reported missing by family

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — The Hernando County Sheriff's Office is asking for help from the community in finding a man reported missing by his family member.

A Purple Alert was issued for 38-year-old Angel Nurse after he was seen on Nov. 10 in the area of Springbrook Hospital, located at 7007 Grove Road in Brooksville.

Authorities at the hospital said Nurse was taken to the Talbot House at 814 N. Kentucky Avenue in Lakeland. But, authorities at the Talbot House claimed they had no record of the 38-year-old checking into their facility.

"It is believed Mr. Nurse may be in the Lakeland area," the sheriff's office explains in a news release.

According to family members, Nurse doesn't have a cell phone or a social media account.

He is described as being 6 foot, 1 inch tall and 145 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. It's unknown what kind of clothes he was last wearing, but he does have a goatee.

Anyone who has seen the 38-year-old or knows where he is is asked to call the Hernando County Sheriff's Office at 352-754-6830 or their local law enforcement agency.
