MASARYKTOWN, Fla. — Hernando County Fire Rescue responded to a mobile home that went up in flames early Sunday morning.
The crews arrived and saw the home on Monroe Avenue in Masaryktown engulfed in flames just after 2:30 a.m., according to a news release by the fire rescue team.
The occupants all left the home, but one was transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.
Crews extinguished the fire within 30 minutes and none of the responders were injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but the preliminary cause is believed to be an electrical fire. The home was a total loss, and the Red Cross will be assisting the occupants, the release said.
