Hernando County deputies find, 'detain' lost kangaroo hopping around in diaper

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office found the lost four-month-old in Plantation Estates right around 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Hernando County have found and "detained" a lost kangaroo that was reportedly hopping around in a diaper and blue harness.

The sheriff's office posted about the animal on their social media Wednesday afternoon, asking residents to keep an eye out for the four-month-old and to call deputies if it hops into anyone's yard.

Animal enforcement officers started their search near J.D. Floyd Elementary School before eventually finding the kangaroo in Plantation Estates right around 4 p.m.
