BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — A Hernando County firefighter was taken to the hospital for a medical-related issue after responding to a house fire in Brooksville.
Crews put out the fire that erupted on Sunshine Grove Road on Sunday night. The fire was burning through the roof of a mobile home and was brought under control within an hour.
Pictures from Hernando County Fire Rescue show the scorched home that was destroyed.
While no civilian injuries were reported, one firefighter was transported to a local hospital. The fire's cause is under investigation.
