Jacksonville, Florida -- A couple wanted for killing three people and shooting a fourth person in the New Port Richey community of Moon Lake were taken into custody Thursday night in Jacksonville.
Christopher Duncan and Dora Delgado have been on the run since Monday when deputies since the shootings. The Pasco Sheriff's Office says it was there friend John Blunt who drove them across the state.
Blunt was arrested for driving without a license and could face other charges later.
Both are being held on warrants for three counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder for shooting and killing Louis Wayne Lunceford, 44, Shane Newland, 42, and Justin Huckeby, 25, Monday morning inside of a Moon Lake home.
The fourth victim, whose identity is being withheld at this time, is expected to recover from her wounds.
Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco says that "drugs may be involved" in the murders, and that it is possible this was a targeted hit.
According to the sheriff's office Duncan and Delgado are a couple and they were not cooperative when taken into custody.
Peake said, "They talked very little with us they provided some information but nothing I can talk about."
"Oh yeah I'm glad that they were caught," said Joan Anderson who owns the home where the murders occurred and lives just around the corner. She says was fearful they would return.
"That was something that we were worried about them coming back here."
Anderson says the news of their arrest puts her at ease.
"Oh I'll sleep much better tonight yeah," said Anderson.
The Pasco Sheriff's office says this is still a very active investigation and with these suspects in custody they hope they can now get more information.
"They are in jail they are not getting out people are safe to come out and talk to us now," said Cpt Jeff Peake.
