Tampa, Florida -- The Florida State Fair is just as much about food as it is about rides, games and prizes. In fact, it's what's drawing in the crowds this year.
"A lot of fried food," said one woman.
"It's delicious and no calories," joked another.
The big draws this year are the newest items. Griff Gillette and his ice cream crew have concocted a giant, sticky treat that fans lined up for.

"We've got the new pumpkin custard with two Krispy Kreme donuts," he said. "It's our newest creation. Then we dip it in chocolate, roll it in graham cracker crumbs with marshmallow and maple syrup. We call it the Sticky Pig."
Down the sidewalk a bit, Dennis Reas was busy flipping unique cheeseburgers. His two new choices were rivaling his old staple.
"The two new burgers are the jalapeno and the parmesan crusted," he said. "But, the donut burger is still top dog."
"I feel good about it because it's got lettuce and tomatoes on it.," chuckled one mom who was sharing it with her son.
The fair also has a burger mashed between two Ramen noodle patties, but that's even the most intriguing noodle recipe at the fair.
"Most people came back twice," said Topp, a Riverview man who created a Ramen noodle pepperoni pizza. Instead of dough, he created a base out of noodles.
"That's how good they are. Pepperoni pizza is the best one – with Ramen. To die for!"
The fair is open until Feb. 16.
"This is why you come here for the crazy food," said one woman. "You only get this once a year."
