Ft Myers, Florida – A 31-year-old Bradenton man answering ads for babysitting jobs has been arrested for trying to sexually entice a minor.
An FBI investigation over the last 14 months revealed Nathan Bryan posted advertisements on Craigslist and offered babysitting, nanny, and housekeeping services to gain access to children.
Bryan has resided in Bradenton and Orlando.
The FBI Child Exploitation Task Force (CETF) initially made contact with Bryan during undercover online chat sessions after learning he was attempting to obtain babysitting jobs by answering online classified ads.
The undercover agent was contacted by Bryan after posting an ad under the profile of a "bad dad" in his 40's who was looking for an adult man to engage in sex acts with his 8-year-old stepson.
Bryan set up a meeting with the undercover agent in Bradenton for June 21. It was at that location he was arrested.
The CETF is asking anyone who has information about this matter or who may have hired Bryan for the above services to contact the FBI Tampa Field Office at 1-866-838-1153 or at tampa.division@ic.fbi.gov.
Bryan appeared in federal court for an initial hearing on June 22 and was detained without bond.
Participating Task Force members include representatives from the Bradenton Police Department and the Sarasota Police Department, key partners in combating child sex trafficking within our local communities.
