A Palm Harbor woman is suing the city of Tarpon Springs after a toilet exploded in a library and she claims sent shards of porcelain into one of her legs.
Anne Burson was working as a librarian at Tarpon Springs Fundamental School in November 2012 when she heard an explosion in a bathroom, according to her lawsuit as quoted by the Tampa Bay Times.
A maintenance crew was working on the water lines to address pressure issues. She saw that a toilet had exploded and a worker cleaned it up, and then told her the bathroom was safe to use.
When she returned to use the bathroom, a toilet exploded while she was washing her hands after she flushed, according to the lawsuit.
