Port Richey, Florida - It isn’t easy for William and Vi Meade to talk about their neighbor across the street who was found murdered about 7:20 Sunday night.William Meade, Victim’s Neighbor: “Just a good person, helped anybody that needed it. It’s just unbelievable.”The Meade’s noticed 79-year old Beverly Bobrick still hadn’t picked up her morning newspaper Sunday night, so they checked her home on Red Run Drive and found windows forced open in back and a screen pushed in.Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies found Bobrick dead in her bedroom, with obvious signs of head trauma.Doug Tobin, Pasco Co. Sheriff’s Spokesman:“As far as the motive the night of the murder, it’s too early to tell, her house was ransacked.”The sheriff’s spokesman and neighbors say Bobrick’s home had also been broken into while she was sleeping August 26th. A thief took her purse off the kitchen table.Vi Meade, Victim’s Neighbor:“Maybe they figure, well we got 80 dollars the first time, we’ll go back maybe she’s got some more money.”William Meade:“And as far as I’m concerned the same sun of a gun came back and did it again and killed her. And he had to kill the dog on top of it? What kind of people are these?"People at St. James The Apostle Catholic Church are wondering the same thing. Beverly Bobrick was a volunteer cook for bingo players every Monday, and was known for her cooked onions and dry sense of humor.Tony Feldman, Church Facility Manager: “Very gentle soul, helpful soul, anytime we needed help with anything she would pitch in.”Detectives investigating the murder of Beverly Bobrick are also looking into the possibility that an attempted burglary a few streets away on Vienna Lane early Sunday morning may be connected, but they’re not sure yet.The suspect in that burglary is a white man possibly 18 years old wearing a black trench coat. If you have any information, call the Pasco County Sheriff’s office.
