DUNEDIN, Fla. — Dunedin, Florida, a charming coastal town with a population just under 40,000, is known for its picturesque downtown area, vibrant community and bustling tourism scene.
With nearly a million visitors per year, the town's allure continues to grow. Now, it has a new highlight to add to its list: the Dunedin Coffee Company and Bakery.
We sat down with owner Steve Wojtecki, who talked to us about taking over the previously owned coffee shop in December and opening in January. Dunedin Coffee Company and Bakery has quickly become a favorite spot for both locals and tourists alike.
Nestled in the heart of Downtown Dunedin, the coffee shop offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a morning pick-me-up or a leisurely afternoon treat.
The menu is a blend of classic favorites and creative specialties. Coffee enthusiasts can indulge in a variety of hot coffee options, from robust espressos to smooth pour-overs. The specialty lattes are a must-try, with unique flavors that change seasonally, ensuring there's always something new to discover. But, it’s not just the coffee that draws in the crowds.
The bakery section offers an array of sweet treats, from flaky croissants to fan favorites like the chocolate brioche, cheddar cove biscuits and cinnamon rolls. Wojtecki says the friendly staff are always ready with a smile making everyone feel like a regular from their very first visit. The shop also hosts events fostering a sense of community like mom meet-ups and an atmosphere where people can hang out and get work done if they need.
The shop's prime location makes it a perfect pit stop for those exploring the town’s attractions, from the beaches to the scenic Pinellas Trail, to the local shops and restaurants downtown.
“It’s more than just a coffee shop,” Wojtecki said, “It’s a testament to the town’s welcoming spirit and a celebration of community, quality and creativity. So, come on in, grab a cup of your favorite brew and savor the flavors of Dunedin’s newest gem.”
