Clearwater Beach again named best beach in America by TripAdvisor

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Clearwater Beach is keeping its status as the country's best beach, according to TripAdvisor.

The travel site released Tuesday its annual list of the country's 25 best beaches, ranked by the site's "Traveler's Choice." Out of the 2019 rankings, Florida holds 10 of the best beaches in the country.

A recent review of Clearwater Beach on TripAdvisor's site says, "The sugar fine white sand is a trademark of this fabulous beach. Perfect for a day in the sun. You might even spot a dolphin or two playing on the horizon."

Other Florida beaches on the list include Panama City Beach, St. Pete Beach, Pensacola Beach, Siesta Key, St. Augustine Beach, Fort Lauderdale Beach, Navarre Beach, South Beach and Hollywood Beach.

TripAdvisor said winners were determined based on the quantity and quality of traveler reviews and "bubble" ratings for beaches on the website over a 12-month period.
