HERNANDO, Fla. — A man was killed after he drove off of a roadway and crashed in Citrus County on Sunday morning.
The 23-year-old was driving a Hyundai Accent just after 2 a.m. on North Forest Ridge Boulevard when he drove off the highway after not being able to make a curve in the road, according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said he struck a pedestrian guardrail before the car flipped and collided with utility pole guide wires. He suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
