Looking for a new job? This one comes with a $2,000 signing bonus.

Florida sheriff's offices have had difficulties finding deputy recruits. Thanks to a booming economy and more positions being created, the Citrus County Sheriff's Office will be able to recruit with a sign-on bonus.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office loosened its standards on tattoos, drug use and education, and it was met with a flood of new applicants.

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is hoping for similar success, but with a different approach: hiring bonuses.

The sheriff's office said today it will pay new recruits a bonus of $2,000 once they successfully pass field training.

Current employees can get a $250 bonus if they recommend someone who completes training to be a law officer or a communications officer.
