Busch Gardens extends free beer program through August 24

TAMPA, Fla. -- Beer lovers can keep on sipping the summer away, at least at Busch Gardens.

The Tampa theme park announced an extension of its free beer program through Aug. 24. Guests over 21 can get two free 7-ounce beers at the Garden Gate Cafe with valid identification.

Guests have been indulging in free beer since May 1. The park also launched the Busch Gardens Brew Club, which allows guest to reserve their own beer stein at the park that can be refilled for $5 per pour.

The celebration of brews continues Aug. 25 - Sept. 16 with the park's Bier Fest. The new festival "blends the local Tampa Bay craft scene with time-honored traditions," the park said.

More than 100 beers from breweries around the world are planned for the four-weekend event with live entertainment and food vendors.
