FLORIDA -- It feels like summer just started, but parents and students are already gearing up to go back to school.
Hillsborough schools are back in session Aug. 10 while Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Sarasota and Hernando counties return to school Aug. 13.
But before you send your kid back to class, make sure they’re up to date on all the vaccines required for school children in Florida.

Immunizations required for childcare and family daycare
-- Diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis (DTaP)
-- Inactivated polio vaccine (IPV)
-- Measles-mumps-rubella (MMR)
-- Varicella (chickenpox)
-- Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib)
-- Pneumococcal conjugate (PCV13)
-- Hepatitis B (Hep B)
Public and non-public preschool
-- DTaP
-- IPV
-- MMR
-- Hep B
-- Varicella
-- Hib
Public and non-public schools, kindergarten through 12th grade
-- Four or five doses of DTaP
-- Four or five doses of IPV
-- Two doses of MMR
-- Three doses of Hep B
-- One tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap)
-- Two doses of Varicella (Varicella vaccine is not required if there is a history of chickenpox documented by a doctor).
Additional immunization requirements for seventh grade students
-- Children entering, attending or transferring to the seventh grade in Florida schools must get an additional Tdap vaccine.
