6-year-old boy becomes police officer for the day in Ohio

A Special Wish teamed up with the Parma Police Department to make Gunnar's wish come true.

PARMA, Ohio — A 6-year-old boy from Northeast Ohio had his wish granted to become a police officer for a day.

Through the Northeast Ohio chapter of A Special Wish Foundation's "When I Grow Up" program, Gunnar was sworn in as a Parma Police Officer for the day. 

Gunnar spent the day with the department fighting crime and "arresting" an actress dressed as Harley Quinn. 

"Thank you to Officer Rick Morgan and Officer Bob with City of Parma PD for helping to coordinate this special day. Thank you also to everyone at Parma PD who was involved in making Gunnar’s dream come true," said A Special Wish Northeast Ohio Chapter in a Facebook post.
