WELLINGTON, Fla. — Four people were taken to hospitals Tuesday after being struck by lightning, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said.
WPEC reports the incident happened about 2 p.m. at a development in Wellington.
Firefighters told the station the lightning hit a roof where several people were working.
Six people in all were checked by paramedics: Two were taken to a trauma center, two were taken to a non-trauma center and two were treated and released at the scene.
