SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. -- The mother of Chance Walsh, Kristen Bury, made her first appearance in a Sarasota County courtroom on Saturday morning.
Bury is shown in courtroom photos and videos provided to 10 News keeping her head down and hiding her face in her hands.
The 32-year-old mother from North Port, Fla. faces 1st Degree Felony Murder and one count of Child Neglect charges in the disappearance of her 9-week-old son, who was last seen alive on September 9, WINK News reported.
She is currently being held on $150,000 bond for the child neglect charge and no bond for the murder charge.
Sarasota County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the body of an infant was found in a wooded area near English Circle and Elliot Court in North Port, 13 miles away from the family's home. Though detectives believe it is Chance's body, SCSO has not released a statement confirming it is his body pending forensic examination.

Chance's father, Joseph Walsh, faces extradition from South Carolina. Bury was extradited from South Carolina on Friday and arrived at the Sarasota County Jail around 10:45 p.m.
The Florida Department of Child Services issed a statement Friday that it is conducting an internal review of the Walsh case.
