MIAMI — Friday marked one year since the pedestrian bridge collapse at Florida International University, where cars were crushed and six people were killed.
CBS Miami reports the flag was flown at half staff on FIU's campus, and a bell was rung six times -- in memory of each victim.
A moment of silence was held at 1:47 p.m., which was the exact time of the tragedy.
The victims were: college freshman Alexa Duran, bridge worker Navaro Brown, systems technician Rolando Fraga Hernandez, driver Brandon Brownfield, and couple Osvaldo Gonzalez and Alberto Arias -- who died in a vehicle under the bridge.
