WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Winter Haven residents will soon receive treatment at a new emergency room located five minutes from Legoland.
AdventHealth Winter Haven ER, located at 6945 Cypress Gardens Boulevard, features 24 exam rooms, including a resuscitation room, bariatric room, isolation room and pediatric-friendly rooms for its visitors.
In addition, there will be two triage rooms near the lobby to ensure patients are seen and treated by a doctor faster. Lab services, X-ray, CT and ultrasound scan services will also be available.
The health care system noted the area’s increased population, as the Winter Haven - Lakeland MSA was deemed the second fastest-growing metropolitan area in the country in 2020, according to the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce.
AdventHealth says the construction is part of its plan to invest back into the community it serves by creating more than a dozen jobs and further building onto the 42-acre site with an existing full-service hospital and medical office building.
The emergency department is set to open to new patients by the end of this month.
