Days after the worst mass shooting in U.S. history at an Orlando nightclub, Florida Gov. Rick Scott voiced his continued support for gun rights Tuesday morning, saying "the second amendment didn't kill anybody."
"Evil killed people. Radical Islam, ISIS, they're the ones doing this," Scott said. "Our federal government has got to take this seriously."
The right to own and bear arms has been enshrined in the U.S. Constitution for over two centuries, Scott said. What has changed is "we have radical Islam, we have ISIS," he said.
The federal government needs to focus on destroying terror networks, Scott said.
"We've got to start vetting people better. We've got to share with our local law enforcement community."
