Vermont Teddy Bear Company is offering a Fifty Shades of Grey Bear this year for anyone who wants to "dominate" Valentine's Day. Fifty Shades of Grey, written by English author E.L. James, is an erotic romance novel.

The book, released in 2011, was the first of a trilogy that became a commercial juggernaut, selling more than 100 million copies worldwide. The Fifty Shades of Greymovie is set for release on Valentine's Day this year.

The book did not fare as well in critical circles with most literary critics panning it. Author Salman Rushdie said he had "never read anything so badly written that got published." Rushdie spoke Wednesday at the University of Vermont on other subjects.

The literary merits of the book were not a concern for Vermont Teddy Bear however, which pitches the bear on its website as having "all the trappings of a memorable gift — daring, passion, exciting next-to-skin touch — she'll be desperate to get close."

The bear is holding handcuffs in one hand and a black mask in the other.

"Bear seduces her with silky, smoky Grey fur; smoldering Grey eyes; a handsome grey suit and silver tie," Vermont Teddy Bear's description continues on its website.

The conclusion: "She can't help but submit to loving him."

The Fifty Shades of Grey Bear costs $89.99 on the company's website.
