TAMPA, Fla. — Jennifer Lopez will not be coming to Tampa for her 'This Is Me... Now' tour, at least not for now.
Concert dates on Ticketmaster show the event scheduled for Aug. 27 at Amalie Arena has been canceled. A note from the website says the "Event Organizer has had to cancel [the] event" without any more details on the reason why.
Tour dates set for Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta and New Orleans were also canceled. The affected concerts were supposed to happen during the last stretch of the tour from Aug. 22 to Aug. 30.
Ticketmaster noted that refunds will be issued automatically for people who already purchased their tickets.
The 'This Is Me... Now' tour is Lopez's first headlining arena tour since 2019. Her album 'This Is Me... Now' is the singer's first album in a decade, with her last release being 'A.K.A' which debuted in 2014. The new album is conceptually a sequel to Lopez's 2002 album 'This Is Me... Then'.
Since the dates were canceled, fans have left one-star reviews on the Ticketmaster website.
"My hubby and I were really looking forward to this show. We had front row official platinum seating...and then got the notification," one person wrote. "My guess for these cancelations is her team has found a 'better' money making opportunity and these show dates fell in the way."
The review went on to say they believe the tickets for those dates weren't selling as well as the organizer had hoped, which made the prices more expensive.
"But I mean come on really... $3,600 for a meet and greet package?" they questioned. "Janet Jackson's was only $1,600-$1,700...and she is MUCH more of an icon."
Another person expressed their disappointment: "Fans should get the courtesy of an explanation and it is going to be difficult now to get tickets to another city."
