TAMPA, Fla. — Time to "Shoot to Thrill" — iconic, Grammy-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band AC/DC is going to perform in 2025 right here in Tampa.
The band's stop is only one of 13 stadium concerts scheduled from coast to coast in the United States. AC/DC hasn't had a road tour in the U.S. in nine years, according to a news release.
Now, AC/DC will bring its "Power Up" tour to North America.
Tampa will be "Thunderstruck" on May 16, 2025, at Raymond James Stadium. Tickets go on sale at noon Friday, Dec. 6. For ticket information, click or tap here.
AC/DC, whose members hail from Australia, has been performing since Dec. 31, 1973. In the decades since their debut, AC/DC is considered one of the "most influential rock bands in history, with over 200 million albums sold worldwide."
According to a release, the band's "Back In Black" LP is reportedly the "bestselling album by any band ever" and "third bestselling album by any artist."
The record includes hits such as "Hells Bells," "Shoot to Thrill," "Back In Black" and "You Shook Me All Night Long."
AC/DC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2003.
"To continue their reign as the world’s greatest rock and roll band, AC/DC—Angus Young on lead guitar, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and bass player Chris Chaney—is back to play to their legion of dedicated fans, which grows with every passing year," the release said in part.
