Pasco eSchool is the 10News School of the Week powered by Duke Energy Florida

Congrats to the students, teachers and staff at Pasco eSchool!

Congratulations to Pasco eSchool, even though that’s really kind of all over Pasco County.

That’s because full-time students take their classes remotely. That’s right. No need to set that extra early alarm clock, scarf down breakfast to rush out to a bus stop so you don’t miss the tardy bell. Students take these classes and do the work on their own schedule.

Each class is designed to be completed in 18 weeks or less. After a student finishes a module, a discussion takes place between the teacher and a student to assess the understanding of the subject.

Pasco eSchool also has a brick and mortar location on the Crews Lake Middle School campus. Faculty comes to campus once a month, students will also come. We were there for Elementary Day and any state testing will take place in the computer lab, not at a remote location.

The school has been in operation for 10 years and currently has 400 students enrolled fulltime. It’s available for kindergarten through 12th grade. It also services nearly 16,000 students in the district who might be taking only a few online classes.

No worries if you want to participate in a school sport. Students are eligible to join teams at the schools where they are zoned.

It’s easy to see why it’s considered the hub of the community and our 10News School of the Week powered by Duke Energy Florida.
