Pasco County - Getting kids interest in science isn’t always easy to do especially when it’s time for the hands on experiments like dissecting animals. At Calusa Elementary in New Port Richey 5th graders have found a way around getting slimy and are dissection frogs. The school’s computer tech has created a software allowing kids to dissect frogs, squids and eventually pigs without having to get messy. The program called “Froguts” virtually guides kids and teachers through the steps using the computer mouse instead of a knife. The program has been so popular US News World Reports recently published an article on the program and since then the website has received more than 130-thousand hits.
