CLEARWATER, Fla. — The Clearwater Police Department shared a video on Facebook in an effort to locate a suspect who officers claim made off with a man's wallet that was accidentally dropped at a Walmart.
The video shows a person wearing a pink t-shirt and white shorts walking near the Walmart on U.S. Highway 19 North in Clearwater. According to a Facebook post from police, the victim's girlfriend filmed the video on her cell phone as she followed the suspect out of the store.
Police claim the suspect initially refused to return the wallet. Officers say the wallet was eventually thrown at the victim, but the cash inside was kept. If you know who the individual in the video is, you are urged to call the Clearwater Police Department at 727-562-4242.
