Beaumont Police are investigating after thieves attempted to steal an ATM from inside a Beaumont drugstore early Thursday morning.
The would-be thieves used what police say was a stolen truck to smash through the front of the CVS at Phelan Blvd and North 23rd Street.
The thieves were unsuccessful and nothing was take from the store which broken into just before 5:20 a.m. according to Beaumont Police.
The front of the store was heavily damaged and skid marks could still be seen on the floor inside the store Thursday afternoon as crews worked to temporarily close up the front of the store.
No arrests have been made and police continue to investigate the incident.
