TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa police are investigating the deadly stabbing of a woman and a teenage girl early Sunday morning in North Tampa.
The stabbing happened at a home on Riveredge Drive off Interstate 75, according to the Tampa Police Department. Police were called around 9 a.m. to the house in reference to a girl in her early teens seriously injured by multiple stab wounds.
When police arrived, they found the girl along with a woman in her 30s who had also been stabbed multiple times. The woman was pronounced dead on the scene. The teenage girl was pronounced dead at the hospital where she was taken.
Detectives are investigating the murder and have determined that the two victims were both related to each other and known to the suspected killer.
