UPDATE: Detectives also arrested Dr. S. Kamal Ashraf for employing people who aren't licensed medical professionals. He works at the clinic with Jesse Lopez, who was arrested earlier Tuesday morning for posing as a nurse at the "Drop It Like It's Hot" weight loss clinic.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office said the investigation continues and more charges are possible.
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Undercover detectives arrested a woman accused of performing medical procedures on patients despite not having any medical degrees, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.
Jesusadelaida "Jesse" Lopez is also accused of portraying herself as a registered nurse at the "Drop It Like It's Hot" weight clinic.
Lopez, 39, of Winter Haven works at the clinic located at 6356 Cypress Gardens Blvd., the sheriff's office said.
She performed the procedures despite working with a licensed medical doctor, the sheriff's office said.
Lopez is charged with six counts of unlicensed practice of health care.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration and Department of Health to perform the search warrant on the clinic.
