ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A newly released video from the St. Petersburg Police Department shows a man suspected of firing a gun into a crowd of people during a downtown brawl over the weekend.
Police said the shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. as a group of men got into a fight on the sidewalk on 3rd Street North near Central Avenue.
Three men were shot and four others — two men and two women — suffered minor injuries.
A man previously identified by officers as a person of interest is now considered a suspect in the shooting. Police are asking for help identifying him.
Red arrows in the video point at the suspect and seven other men that detectives would like to identify and speak to in regard to the investigation.
The suspect is described as being 17-20 years old with short dreads. He was last seen wearing a blue and white basketball jersey with "SIERRA" and the number 0 on the front and "JAMES" on the back.

Anyone who recognizes the man can submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County at 1-800-873-TIPS or online. Those who provide information that leads to an arrest in this case are eligible for a $3,000 reward.
