PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A driver and passenger of a Lexus RX were killed after being hit by a Kia Sorrento on State Road 54 in Pasco County on Saturday afternoon.
The 27-year-old driver of the Kia was traveling westbound at a "high rate of speed" when the 66-year-old driver and 68-year-old passenger turned left onto the road, according to a news release by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The Kia driver from Holiday had non-life-threatening injuries, but the two New Port Richey men in the Lexus died at the scene.
No other information was immediately provided, and the crash is under investigation.
