BRADENTON, Fla. — Manatee County deputies are looking for a van in a Bradenton hit-and-run crash Thursday morning that sent a vehicle flipping into a motel parking lot and critically injured a driver, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
About 7:45 a.m., a 2018 Audi driven by Jackson Kelley, 19, of Bradenton, was headed south on U.S. 41 near 14th Street W. when a 2003 Kia Sedona pulled in front of it. The vehicles collided.
The Audi spun, then overturned several times into the parking lot of Lantern Inn & Suites. The vehicle landed on its roof.
Jackson was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
After the impact, the Kia fled the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Florida Highway Patrol at (941) 751-8350.
