SARASOTA, Fla. — Two teenagers and one adult are facing charges after an early morning shooting took place in North Sarasota, police said.
Sarasota police say this happened around 5 a.m. Tuesday in the area of 29th Street and North Osprey Avenue when a juvenile suffered non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. They have since been taken to a hospital.
Police arrested 36-year-old Fatima Williams on charges of child neglect, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sarasota PD also arrested a 14- and 15-year-old in this case. 10 Tampa Bay is choosing not to identify them due to their age.
The 14-year-old is charged with attempted murder with a firearm, while the 15-year-old is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a church and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The investigation into this shooting is ongoing.
